The three observations that I made were. One the first women in space was in 1961. Two that is the same year the Apollo mission will begin. Three that NASA Space program will go from 89 Million to 5.9 Billion.

Three observations that i made. Was that the Nasa program was not made intill after Russia started there program. Two was that Russia had many failed attempts of lanches to go to the moon. Three is that a chimp was americas first animal in space.

Laika ,who is a dog, becomes first passenger into space on the USSR's Sputnik II. NASA sends a chimp into space after the USSR sends two dogs into space. In April of 1961, the USSR sends Yuri Gargarin, a human, into space.

It's nice to see renewed interest in Space travel. When the History Channel documents space travel they will need to add India to the list. India has recently announced an intent to launch a manned spacecraft in the very near future. MB
